Our Leadership

Hemispheres Academy is a nonprofit organization established in the State of Delaware, under the advising of a Board of Directors (BOD). We have tax exempt status with the IRS under EIN 87-0918200.

The BOD is composed of five members with a President, Treasurer, Secretary as required by Delaware non-profit statute. The main role of the BOD is to hire initial staff, including a Director, and establish the policies and procedures for the organization. The Board of Directors oversees Hemisphere Academy’s Strategic Plan, hiring and evaluating the Head, and approving all personnel decisions. 

The Executive Director is responsible for daily operations. This includes selecting the Hemisphere Academy’s initial faculty and staff, ensuring the Strategic Plan is being implemented, reporting to the BOD regularly, and presenting the Annual Report to the BOD and the community once per year. Furthermore, the Executive Director is responsible for maintaining a policy manual and operational procedures, approved by the BOD.
